“ Penny Path is a unique spot to try out! They focus on one type of food (crepes) and they do them well. If you go on a weekend, expect to have to wait. There is seating indoors and outdoors, so if the weather is nice, you can enjoy the patio. After being seated on a Saturday morning, we had to wait around 30 minutes to have our orders taken. The wait aside, the food was great. We had a variety of crepes, both savory and sweet, and they were all delicious and fresh! The kitchen even split one of them in half for us when we asked to share. Overall, I'd definitely give it a try. ”

“ My best friend and I came to this lovely place for Valentine's Day. I hadn't been, but she loves this place and I can see why! We ordered two different crepes (Lemon and Inside Out Fruit Cheesecake) and they were so good! However, the cheesecake one was my absolute favorite. Service was great and very attentive. Although all tables were pretty much taken, the ambience was great and pretty chill given the date. Will definitely come back again and try the other flavors they have! ”

They had the sweet, fruity, and Nutella laden which was FAB but also the savory options were so creative, we got the mushroom one and it was divine. SO cheesy and the mushrooms were so flavorful as if they had been marinated. Service was fast and everyone was kind. We chose to sit outside since it was a nice day out. Plenty of tables out there and room. Also love a spot that is dog friendly! All in all, definitely a fun place to grab an unexpected breakfast. ”

“ Such a lovely place for brunch in Reynolda Village! My partner and I split the Crepe Suzette (with orange liqueur) and Spinach Artichoke Crepe. So well-prepared and delicious! The service was also really good, waiters were quick and friendly. Love that there's a good crepe spot in the neighborhood! ”

“ I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I absolutely love coming here, and actually come here every year for my birthday. This week we had wonderful service, it's good to keep in mind that this place embodies an alternative vibe and pace- it's a little slower then expected, and some aspects are serve yourself. And if you embrace that it's a good thing. If you ever get a chance to meet the owners take it up because the story behind this place is amazing. This place is all art and energy. The path of Pennys is beautiful, the way it flows through the restaurant and up the walls- stunning. Their first location is a must try too! If simply because it's the original inspiration behind at all. That one is in high point. This second location, has been a favorite of ours since we moved to winston-Salem. My husband loves that at this location- you can get meat and more items then the first location. The food, every single time, is absolutely amazing. The drinks are good too! My favorite thing to get here is the kitchen sink ( no corn though for me) Everything they use is absolutely fresh and customizable. The flavors are impeccable, they have the best savory crêpes of anywhere I've ever tried. They have always gotten my order right! Weekends are SUPER busy- and seating is limited so if you like a chill pace and quiet vibe come on a week day. Thank you for all the years of celebration and amazing flavors penny path! “ This place is amazing. Their savory dishes are delightful, but my goodness, their desserts... just divine. Split one with a friend after eating your main course, because you won't be able to finish it alone. They have friendly staff who are really accommodating. I have a friend who has celiac and she can safely eat here because they have gluten free crepe mix and they clean the surface thoroughly before cooking for gluten-free people. ”

“ (3.5 stars) Given that Penny Path's High Point location never reopened, I was glad to see that the Winston-Salem branch was still alive and kicking. Penny Path offers a commendable selection of both sweet and savory crepes. Though the timing of our visit (a Sunday afternoon) steered me toward the latter, offerings like banana foster and fruit cheesecake made the sweeter stuff hard to pass up. I ultimately went with an Herbs de Provence (mozzarella, spinach, tomato, and herb garlic butter) to which I added rosemary ham, and it was phenomenal: nicely browned, crisp on the edges, buttery, and well-balanced. Even with an upcharge for the added meat, the price wasn't unreasonable. That being said, Penny Path should be avoided at all costs when busy. It's small inside without an abundance of seating, and it gets loud. Fortunately, there is more room on the patio, and we were able to eat outside. Unfortunately, there was a significant wait to get a table, a significant wait to order once we did, and a significant wait to actually get our food after that. Our server was pleasant and apologetic, but Penny Path was clearly struggling to keep up. If you can catch them during an off-peak time, Penny Path's array of crepes won't let you down, but if they look crowded, come back another time unless your craving is strong enough to outlast a lengthy wait. ”

“ I decided to see just what this small place was offering, so I stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch. There is limited seating here, though there is a bit of seating outdoors. There 8 or so stools at a small bar area, a few small tables, and under 10 booths. The small area could get quite chaotic when the restaurant is at capacity, so timing is important I would think. I ordered the JB Brie and since the traffic was lite, it was out quickly. It was perfectly cooked, and loaded with delicious cheese, crisp & sharp tasting sliced apple, and a very small amount of shredded turkey, which added very little to the crepe. This is an item I'd order again. Any revisit would depend on whether the place is crowded. The service I received was personable and efficient - no complaints there! ”

“ A long overdue update to my original review from 2018. Came for an early January Sunday brunch with my son and as expected there was a 25 minute wait for a table given the restaurant's limited indoor seating. As we were sitting on the patio waiting, I saw someone drive up to deliver a box of fruit. Expecting her to drive off, instead I saw her seating a table of 5 on the patio. I didn't realize the patio was open for dining as we weren't given that option, which was understandable because it was early January. That said, when the sun was out and the wind down, it was pleasant outside. Soon enough, this miracle worker asked us if we wanted to sit outside also and expressed some exasperation that we weren't given that option. We agreed, and were soon joined by a party of 8 and the waiting listed was cleared out in an instant. From there we received our menus and a pitcher of water and three different servers asked to take our order. We were ready the third time and enjoyed two delicious savory crepes -- basil and herb de Provence -- and split the Boston creme pie sweet crepe. Based on food alone, this is 5 stars in my book. But the service still has some kinks even after all of these years. Even though all of the servers were attentive in checking in on us while we were dining, the cup of drip coffee I ordered took way too long to come out. That said, I have no hesitation coming here based on the food and improving service. ”
